To break our dependence on fossil fuels, we need a new way to store and move energy. Launching out of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Hydral unlocks its ultimate form - aluminum fuel. Carbon-free, stable, compact, and scaleable, aluminum can sequester clean energy for days, weeks, or centuries. With only water, our reactors retrieve this stored energy in the form of hydrogen and heat when and where needed. All that is left is a recyclable oxide, which can be recharged back into fresh aluminum fuel, closing the loop.
